Check list please? xD

Well I am sorry that I have not been able to work on the server on weekdays since I have school.

Post recommended plugins and I also need someone to thurouly go through the plugins we have and make a Check list

As you can see its hard maintaining a server with one person who goes to school (Me) and another who works (CNe)So if you could do post replies on those topics it would make my job easier >.>

I'm on holidays but I have no idea how to run a server..

Um there is one plugin I think is missing. Which is the show how many voted for an option plugin. You know that when we vote for a map, there is something that pops up at the bottom of the screen that shows :

Mako(12)
Predator(10)
Extend map(9)

Or something like that. Bcos I tested with Bukk and it seems that it was missing. Note that we were not doing a map vote. We were voting on a made up poll. With 2 options; "yes" and "no".

Another one is the rage quit plugin. Seems useless because it only works if you are the last player for yr team(humans/zombies) to quit. So my suggestion is to modify it to make the plugin work when a zombie quits within 10 seconds of being infected. If that is possible.

I thought not the voting progress show up to add suspense to "Whats going to happen" to make things a little interesting .

And I agree on the rage quit thing Someone could use it as "Retry" If we were to restrict that command

It appears like every 20 seconds and it's similar to sm_msay. We have to close it to change weapons (if you use numbers for that).

- Make suiciding disable (kill and explode in console makes u suicide)

I had the same problem as Death when I tried to join earlier. Check if the console command "cl_allowdownload" is 1 or "sv_allowdownload" is 1, or set the "net_maxfilesize" to something higher >.>.

Ok so reviewing over the posts....
I knew some of these plugins would have bad side effects (ie. slow dl time, client side game crash, lag, etc.) which is why I added only a few of them. Thanks for confirming my decision. Some of them I thought could make the server unique others were just for those lets fuck around once in a while moments like during april fools (bullet time plugin).

I will change ads sometime between now and Wed. kinda busy but I'll do it.

Airacc. poll is done and over with a high voter turnout so nope not changing it except to like ~95 I guess if you wanna be satisfied.

Fastdl is currently set to a 100mb quota.... which ofc is all used up if I were to bz2 minas tirith alone. The only ways I could get fastdl to have all maps and materials available to dl is to find a webhosting site that has a quota higher than 100mb (found one and posted it here on some thread but it doesn't seem to work for tactical, there's no email confirm) or to find a site with no quota and unlimited disk space but at a low price.

sv_allowdl is 1 but I dont see net_maxfilesize in the cfg so I guess I can add that but at what value? 250 good? also if anyone here can connect to the server could you tell me what the values of these cvars set to by typing them partially in console? (ex. I wanna find out what sv_airacc is at so I go to console type sv_airacc and there should be some value next to it). On a side note sv stands for server while cl stands for client which means I can't change any of the cl_ values thats up to the client a.k.a. player to change.

All in all look forward to more polls/discussions and changes. Please please vote on the polls or reply on the discussions. If less than 8 people (~half of the TCE members) vote I'm not even going to bother making any changes related to that poll or the changes will be at my mercy. Remember anyone registered on here can vote so steam message everyone you know to vote but don't annoy lol. Polls will only be up for 3 days. Finally keep the suggestions coming.

Anyways about the knockback, too many people (Liongreen Specificly) Where complaining about the knockback being too low (That one day on mako when we actually played our first real match) So I increased it by a little and now people are happy exept some (bukkake xD)

Also on the fast DL we need to find good hosting sites (Thank you skye!)

And I dont think we need anymore plugins after fast DL I dont want a bunch of random plugins like bullet tracers or anything

And on the skin discussion Can someone post the skins (They have to have the normal ct/t hitboxes) and lets not over exaggerate the skins lets make them formal so that not too many people start boasting xP

Anyways Heres an update of the server checklist...


1. Upload skins and maps to fast DL (Thank you fruit and skye!)
2. Get the skin manager plugin (Gives donators and admins/members certain skins)
3. Set max ammo to 1000
4. Set round timelimit to 10 minutes instead of 8 (Impossible to finish mako, minas, pred, or isla nubar in 8 minutes)

FAST DL WORKS NOW still has a quota but the quota is 1GB all that is needed is now is models. For now I might just upload some random models for everyone to use as a kinda of server "promo" then when everyone's decided on the models we'll list them for certain groups.
